How To Have A GREAT Marriage

1. What makes the difference between a good marriage and a great marriage?

od must be in your marriage. It is no coincidence that this is first on the list, for no marriage can be truly great without God. Couples who strive to build a home with Christ as its center enjoy enormous advantages over those who do not. Re. Ecclesiastes 4:9-12.

emember your vows. Husbands, did you promise to love, honor, cherish, and protect your spouse, forsaking all others? Wives, did you promise to love, honor, cherish, and obey your spouse, forsaking all others? Re. Matthew 19:9, Hebrews 13:4.

njoy life together. While life is filled with its ups and downs, we should not allow the "downs" to prevent us from enjoying life. Emphasis should be placed on both "enjoy" and "together". Consider Proverbs 5:18, Ecclesiastes 9:9.

ppreciate one another. When you stop to count your blessings, don’t forget to include your spouse. An attitude of ingratitude will eventually manifest itself in selfishness and disrespect. Re. Proverbs 18:22, Proverbs 19:14.

reat one another as the most important person in the world. After all, who on this earth is more important to you than your spouse? In terms of your relationships with others, none should be more significant than your relationship with your spouse. Re. Genesis 2:24.

1. Your marriage doesn’t have to be just good, it can be great.
